As most of you probably already know, we're out on tour right now; Never Sleep Again 2008 to be exact! We're sharing a bus with Emery, whom we've been good friends with for a while now. We've been having a blast between the flag football games and all of the Halo that's going down on the bus. Its no secret that we're all Democrats and if it is a secret (it isn't now), most of Emery are Republicans, but we don't hold that against them. Since we've all already voted via absentee ballot and we don't have a show on Nov 4th; in the spirit of the election and our collective love of Halo, we are going to have a special Halo 3, Democrat (HH) Vs Republican (Emery) showdown. They're red, we're blue, first team to 270 kills wins! We'll be taking pictures, video and updating people on the game via our BUZZNET page. So make sure you log-in there on the 4th to see who wins (but not until you've gone out and voted)
So to backup a little bit, we (HH and Emery) challenged Tickle Me Pink and The Mile After to a flag football deathmatch (if you check our buzznet you probably saw the intro video already). If TMP and TMA win, they get to ride on our bus for one night, while we have to drive their vans to a show. If we win, well...we haven't actually determined what we want from them. Well, we played a trial game (pre-season game if you will) before our Houston show. We found a real football field, had Matt and my drum tech (the Kid) ref and went to battle. The first quarter was a little rough as we all had to settle into our collective offense and defense strategies. We pulled ahead in the second half and were up 27 - 0 (we missed a field goal) at one point before they stormed back, scoring three touchdowns within the last 5 minutes of the game. We managed to hold them off for the win, but they gave us a run for our money. We all had a blast but we were all hurting as every leg muscle between the four bands was pulled by that point! We'll update everyone when we do the real game!
Take care,
Eron
